Keyboard Shortcuts

Keys Does
Ctrl/Cmd + Plus Zoom in
Ctrl/Cmd + Minus Zoom out
Ctrl/Cmd + 0 Reset zoom to 100%
Ctrl + R or F5 Reload the current page
Tab / Shift + Tab Move between controls
Escape Close a dialog, menu, or filter panel

Zoom is remembered between launches. Reload just redraws the page — it does not lose anything you have saved, and saved is everything you have typed and stopped typing.

Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, and Portfolio.

Keys Does
↑ ↓ ← → Move one cell
Enter Move down one cell
Shift + arrows Grow or shrink the selected block
Shift + click Select from the current cell to the clicked one
Ctrl/Cmd + C Copy the selected block
Ctrl/Cmd + V Paste, starting at the top-left of the selection
Delete / Backspace Clear every cell in the selection

Arrow keys stop at the edges rather than wrapping. Copied cells are tab-separated, so they paste straight into a spreadsheet — and spreadsheet cells paste back in.

See Working in the Tables.

Keys Does
Enter Save the row you are adding
Escape Cancel the row you are adding
Keys Does
Enter Confirm — create the database, add the year, apply
Escape Cancel and close

The Unlock prompt is the exception: it cannot be dismissed, because there is nothing behind it until the database is unlocked. Use “Open a different database…” to leave.

The tabs on Home, Statements, Cash Flow Reports, and Preferences all follow the same pattern once one is focused:

Keys Does
← → or ↑ ↓ Previous / next tab
Home / End First / last tab
